Biography
Dale saw firsthand the value of responsibility and hard work as he grew up in the construction and development business of his Father. He worked at other part time jobs while in High School and College. The work ethic developed from this experience continues to influence him as he works as the Principal Broker of Washburn & Associates, a Real Estate Brokerage firm. Dale has worked for over thirty years in the real estate business. He is a Licensed Instructor, and teaches Real Estate Pre-Licensing, Post-Licensing, and Continuing Education courses through the Middle Georgia Institute of Real Estate ( also known as MGIRE) as well as EducateforRealEstate.com. These courses can be taught online, at remote locations around the state, and often at Macon State College through their Continuing Education department. He also teaches courses in Ethics for Realtor® Associations around the state of Georgia. Dale has taught literally hundreds of real estate professionals over the years - including most of the other real estate instructors active in Macon & Middle Georgia! He is a past President of the Middle Georgia Association and past Vice-President of the Georgia Association of Realtors. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Realtors. In 1992 Dale was named the Middle Georgia Association of Realtors Realtor of the year. In 2004 he was honored as the Georgia Realtor of the Year.
